Getting Started

  • Initial Consultation

During the initial consultation, the therapist will facilitate a brief introduction between client and therapist. The therapist will inquire about the client’s therapeutic goals and determine whether the therapist will be able to assist them in reaching those goals. The therapist will also inquire about insurance and availability to ensure that client’s insurance can be verified and that scheduling will not be an issue.

  • Intake Appointment

Intake sessions are approximately 50-60 minutes in length. During the intake session, the therapist will collect demographic information, what brings the client to therapy, a brief client history, and the client’s goals for the therapeutic process. The therapist will also review consent, confidentiality practices, practice procedures, billing policies, cancellation policies, methods of contact, and any questions or concerns the client may have.

  • Individual Therapy

Individual therapy sessions can range from 30 minutes to 60 minutes in duration depending on the client’s needs. During the consultation and intake, the therapist and client will decide on the frequency of sessions based on the individual client’s needs (i.e. weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, etc). Each session, the therapist and client will follow the co-created treatment plan to address the desired focus and work towards the client’s life worth living goals.

  • Telehealth

For client convenience, telehealth services are offered through a video platform. The video platform is completely confidential and fully HIPAA-compliant. Privacy and confidentiality are important cornerstones of the therapeutic relationship and thus are taken very seriously.
